  • It depends. If you choose The Lighthouse, The Fenwick or The Beach Loop you’ll have use of everything for two hours. If you choose The Saybrook, you’ll have use of everything for two and half hours.

    If you would like to enjoy your guests longer, we have an additional half hour add on you can choose.

  • Pretty much anywhere. That’s the best part! The beach, park, backyard or even a vineyard are great places to relax with your guests.

    Note: Park and parking fees are not included in our pricing. You are responsible for obtaining permits and providing proof to Coastal Picnic for use on the date of the gathering. You are also responsible to research and abide by the rules and regulations of your gathering location.

    Your gathering must be accessible to curbside pull-up with a short walking distance to set up and pack up. If we need to change the location, due to safety, sun/shade, privacy, or the “spot has been taken”, we’ll do our best to set up in a comparable location nearby. Additional charges may occur for custom requests.

    You’ll receive a "location pin”, by text, 30 minutes before your gathering begins.

    Note: Currently, we are booking gatherings within 10 miles from Main Street, Old Saybrook, CT. If you are further away, please email us to see if we can accommodate you. Additional fees may apply.

  • We can accommodate up to 12 people for both the boho picnic-style table and the dining height style table.

  • We specialize in engagements, intimate weddings, anniversaries, girls’ night, corporate retreats, sweet 16’s and so much more.

  • BYOB — Bring your own beverages. You bring the beverages and we do all the dish washing.

    BYOF — Bring your own food. You bring the food/bites and we do all the dish washing.

    WPTF — We provide the food. We bring the food AND we do all the dish washing.

  • We do! We offer the following themes:

    – Bohemian/rustic/vintage

    – Coastal/nautical

    – Simple/classic/no frills or glitz

    Usually, our clients give us creative permission to choose a theme for them.

  • We get it! The weather can be totally unpredictable. Your gathering can be moved to an indoor space of your choice or rescheduled to a different available date within 30 days at no additional charge.

  • Gatherings can be booked at least eight days in advance. If you email us, we’ll do our best to accommodate a last minute booking.

  • Gatherings can be booked five months in advance. If you email us, we’ll do our best to accommodate a last minute booking.

  • We have add-ons such as a fondue setting, charcuterie box and s’mores box that include food.

    If you’d like to bring your own beverages or food, no problem!

  • You must be at least 21 years old to book a gathering.

  • Coastal Picnic doesn’t offer alcohol, since we do not hold an alcohol license. If you choose to bring alcohol to your gathering, you are responsible to research the rules and regulations on whether alcohol is allowed at your gathering location.

  • We'll use your mobile number to send you a "location pin" 30 minutes prior to your gathering.

  • You can. Just notify us 30 minutes before heading out as you are responsible for all items until we arrive to pack up.

  • Your health and safety are our first priority. Gloves are worn during the set up, styling and pack up.

    All items are washed and/or disinfected after each event.

    If you prefer not to have direct contact with Coastal Picnic, please let us know prior to the start of your gathering.

  • If cancellation is necessary, we require that you cancel (refer to your booking email for details) at least ten days before your scheduled gathering.

    Note: If you do cancel, you”ll receive a full refund within ten days of cancellation.
